City Government Welcomes 72 Accredited CSOs as Official Members of Reconstituted Local Special Bodies
𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈: The City Government of San Fernando, La Union warmly welcomed and recognized various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as official members of the reconstituted Local Special Bodies (LSBs) during a joint meeting held on October 2, 2025, at the Gregorio “Bunog” R. Hufano Session Hall.
Presided over by City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, the joint meeting introduced the selected CSO representatives to the different LSBs. Mr. Brix Caesar D. Cafuir, City Planning and Development Coordinator, reported that 72 accredited CSOs have been officially integrated into the city’s LSBs.
Ms. Lily Ann O. Colisao, City Local Government Operations Officer, discussed the roles of the four LSBs: the City Development, School, Health, and Peace and Order Councils.
Certificates of Accreditation were also awarded to the accredited CSOs by Mayor Manong Dong, with Vice Mayor Pablo C. Ortega, City Councilors Hon. Lilibeth G. Hipol, Hon. Mark Anthony A. Ducusin, Hon. Ramon F. Laudencia, Hon. Nerissa Joy O. Almazan, and Liga ng mga Barangay Vice President Hon. Geraldine R. Ortega, alongside current LSB members.
The City Government remains committed to promote collaboration and inclusivity through strong partnerships with the community—continuing its journey toward a more participatory and people-centered City of San Fernando, La Union.
