During the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, presided over by the Hon. Alfredo Pablo R. Ortega, City Vice Mayor, the members unanimously approved the ordinance: a) granting financial aid to the said SK officials; b) providing the needed funds; and c) for other purposes.

The ordinance aims to provide monthly financial aid to elected SK members, as well as to treasurers, and secretaries. It is hoped that the aid will enable the SK officials to perform their tasks more diligently and responsibly. Through the ordinance, the Sangguniang Panlungsod acknowledges the important role and function of Sangguniang Kabataans (SKs) and Katipunans of Kabataans (KKs) in helping shape the values of the youth to make them become responsible leaders and members of the community.
