The League of Barangay Secretaries conducted a gender inclusivity training on March 31, 2023 at Rapok Rapok, Brgy. Mameltac, to promote LGBTQIA+ Inclusion and Awareness.

The SOGIESC101 Training advocated the importance of well-being as a crucial part of how we function as human beings, and likewise dived into the diversity of the sectors included in the SOGIESC.

Gender and Development Resource Speaker Percival Cendaña provided an interactive learning experience that allowed the participants to explore and understand their identities and that of others in application to the SOGIESC101 Training.

The present City Councilors were also called to share their messages. Hon. Macky Ducusin tackled his insights and called the attention of the barangay officials to be more proactive in tackling LGBTQIA+ issues and the urgency to create safe environments especially for the youth.

Hon. Kyle Marie Nisce supported this notion, sharing his appreciation for the LGBTQIA+ community in giving color to our daily lives and discussed the importance of respecting gender inclusivity in the City.
