July 17, 2024 – Ten (10) barangays, including Santiago Sur, Santiago Norte, Camansi, Pias, Langcuas, Cadaclan, Cabarsican, Sacyud, Masicong and Dallangayan Este, attended the second session of the Barangay Coaching and Mentoring program.

This initiative was spearheaded by the Office of the City Vice Mayor in collaboration with the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

The capacity development sessions are designed to empower barangay officials with comprehensive knowledge of their roles and responsibilities, ensuring continuous effective governance in the City of San Fernando.

To further support the barangays, representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), City Budget Office (CBO), Accounting Office (ACA) and City Treasury Office (CTO) were invited to provide advice and address specific issues raised by each barangay.
