The Local Legislation 101.3 Seminar for the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) La Union Chapter was held at Newtown Plaza Hotel, Baguio City on May 24-26, 2023

The said seminar was spearheaded by the VMLP LU President Hon. Alfredo Pablo “Alf” R. Ortega and attended by 16 Vice Mayors of La Union along wit their respective Sanggunian and staff.

Vice Mayor of Baguio City, Hon. Faustino A. Olowan gave the welcome address. Also present to give their messages were Hon. Erdio Valenzuela, the Regional President of VMLP Region 1, and Hon. Joseph Francisco Ortega, the Regional Director of Department of Tourism Region 1.

The training aimed to provide an in-depth orientation highlighting proper legislative procedures, the important role of the Sangguniang body in their respective designations, and tackled the challenges in the legislation through an interactive discussion with the resource speakers Atty. Agnes Joyce Bailen, Dr. Reginald Ugaddan, and Prof. Emeritus Alex Brillantes.

Special intermissions were also given by Ms. Emlyn Olfindo-Santos who gave dynamic performances that filled the occasion with song and cheer.
