On September 30, 2021, during the regular session presided over by Hon. Alfredo Pablo “Alf” Ortega, the Sanggunian members approved the resolution authorizing the City Mayor, Hon. Hermenegildo Gualberto, to enter into service contracts with personnel to help the overworked officials and employees of the undermanned City Health Office of the City of San Fernando,

due to the unexpected surge of COVID-19 cases in the City of San Fernando. 

The Sanggunian saw the urgent need to hire additional personnel at the City Health Office. It is expected that those hired will greatly help:

a) City’s capability to respond to, control, and alleviate the serious COVID-19 situation of the City; and 

b) secure the health and wellness of all residents and visitors of the City of San Fernando
