THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD PUSHES FOR 63 MILLION PESOS COVID-19 VACCINE ALLOCATION
Under City Resolution No. 21-014, the Sangguniang Panlungsod recommended to the Local Finance Committee to allocate funds for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccine in the amount of 63 million pesos. The allocation of funds was initiated by the Sangguniang Panlungsod for the purpose of procuring vaccines to benefit a larger number of beneficiaries.
Last January 12, 2021, during the regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Alfredo Pablo “Alf” Ortega, majority of the present members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the said resolution with a voting result of 11-0-2, wherein 11 members voted yes and 2 abstained from voting.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod remains vigilant and proactive in responding to the COVID-19 health crisis by passing various ordinances and resolutions that aim to protect and secure the residents of San Fernando City from the dangers brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
