Question Hour

Dr. Shiela Marie A. Primicias, CESO VI, City Schools Division Superintendent, presented the plans, programs and activities of the City Schools Division of San Fernando.

Privilege Speech

Hon. Geraldine R. Ortega highlighted the Seal of the Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) assessment initiated by the DILG in 2023, which initially recognized only Barangay San Agustin. Following DILG recommendations, the City Council passed City Ordinance No. 2024-39 in November 2024 to institutionalize the SGLGB in San Fernando, La Union. In February 2025, the DILG announced that five barangays—Bato, Cadaclan, Canaoay, Dallangayan Este, and San Agustin met the criteria, and Hon. Geraldine R. Ortega congratulated them for their outstanding achievements and manifested to pass a resolution extending heartfelt congratulations of the Sangguniang Panlungsod members.
